I am a freshman and my major is broadcast journalism. I chose to write for Uhuru magazine because I wanted to write for a publication where my story really mattered. Since the magazine deals with the issues of mostly African-American students, I thought perhaps my story might show a perspective that never really had much light shown on it prior to the story's release.
