I am an Applied Communications major at Kent State. This is my sophomore year here at the university. Besides the culture-based activities I participate in like non-Greek stroll-offs and the gospel choir, I am the director of student relations for Kent Interhall Council and a staff writer for Uhuru. I ultimately would like to go into TV broadcasting and/or media writing. Writing for Uhuru gives me the opportunity to support the black community as well as build upon my journalism and reporting skills. It also expands the benefits that I can bring to an organization or company by being able to meet deadlines and create articles.
